Teams of aviation students

During the new VTOL show EUROPEAN ROTORS, EUROAVIA together with the organisers EHA and EASA hosted the first “ROTORTHON”. The challenge itself was divided into an online and a live challenge. Both of the challenges consisted of unique problems which needed to be solved by each team. The winner of each challenge was then announced at the award ceremony by the jury at European Rotors 2021

Online challenge

  • "Enable with a Concept Study including (freehand) sketches based on VTOL Vehicles first steps to develop highly efficient Disaster Control for extreme Situations considering all aspects of the support/rescue chain."

  • "Combining two and three dimensional vehicle operations - Optimising door to door travel concepts of the future. Create a proposal of aircraft architecture that consider the above challenges and integrate in a mid-size European city and its airport."
